About Our Treks
Who Our Treks Are For: Our treks are for intermediate to advanced riders who love riding well-trained, responsive horses. You should be comfortable spending several hours in the saddle and confident in all paces, including posting trot, two-point canter, and gallop.
Payment: We don’t have EFTPOS or Credit Card facilities. Please pay in cash, via bank transfer or PayPal.
Weight Limit: Our Arabian horses are smaller, so the rider weight limit is between 70kg and 80kg.
Group Size: We can accommodate a maximum of 4 riders.
Gear: We provide helmets, boots, chaps, and gloves. Please wear comfortable long trousers and sturdy shoes or riding boots (if you have).
Sizing and Skill: We’ll need your height, weight, and an honest assessment of your riding skill to pair you with the right horse. If you’re unsure, check our riding experience levels below.
Weather: We may cancel rides if the weather isn’t suitable.
What to Bring: Don’t forget your camera and a sense of humor!
Beginner: New to riding with little or no experience.
Novice: Comfortable walking and trotting but still gaining experience with trotting and cantering.
Intermediate: Confident in all gaits—can rise to the trot, handle two-point canters, and gallops. May not ride regularly.
Strong Intermediate: Rides regularly and feels comfortable in the saddle for several hours each day.
Advanced: Experienced in all of the above and able to handle spirited horses in open country.
